Henderson's own, Sam Ball, who played for the Baltimore Colts as an offensive lineman from 1966 to 1970 appeared in Super Bowls III and V, winning the latter. He has a beautiful ring to prove it.

To commemorate the 50th Super Bowl, the NFL is recognizing players, schools and communities that have helped shape the game by presenting them with a special golden football. Mr. Ball will be presented with one of the very limited golden footballs. It will feature his name and Super Bowls he appeared in.

As a longtime member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY, Mr. Ball has generously donated his ball to the church which will be auctioned off to raise funds for youth programs at the church.

To bid on the football, contact the church pastor, Pastor Ted Burke at tedburke@chchurch.org or call 270-860-4675. Auction ends Feb 14, 2016!
