When Katie and Craig Whitsoe lost their son, Sean after a battle with cancer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, they didn't give up.  They continue to raise funds for St. Jude in a big way.  They were the primary folks responsible for bringing the Give Hope Run to Evansville for the first time on Saturday.  While 5K's like this have happened in places like New York and Washington DC, the first one ever in the Tri-State brought more walkers and runners than any other.  The previous record was just over 900 walkers.  Saturday in Burdette park, the Give Hope Run drew just shy of 1,200!  With a total of $65,727 raised, the record breaking event in its first year is sure to be back again.  Thanks for all who participated.
