A world without eating raw cookie dough, is a world I don't want to live in! I was always told it's unsafe to eat raw cookie dough because of the raw eggs in it, but the FDA says even if it's eggless you shouldn't eat it because of the raw flour!

I always thought the danger with raw cookie dough was the eggs in it, but that was never really enough incentive for me to put the cookie dough down, I just figured this would be the best tasting salmonella ever if I were to get salmonella.  Luckily, like most everyone I never got salmonella. Turns out the FDA just announced the raw eggs aren't even their biggest worry with eating raw cookie dough!

Apparently it's the raw flour in the cookie dough that the FDA is concerned about. Apparently raw flour can harbor E. Coli...ew. According to the CDC 38 people were infected in 20 states since December after eating raw flour. YIKES.

Now is this study enough to stop me from eating raw cookie dough?  Life's short, so probably not.
