More work is being done on the Twin Bridges this week. Expect to see delays on the Northbound side.

According to the Kentucky Department of Transportation, there will be more delays on the Twin Bridges this week.

"Another contractor plans to restrict northbound traffic to one lane on the US 41 Twin Bridges during daylight hours starting Monday, February 13, 2017.

This northbound lane restriction is expected to be in place 9 a.m., CST, to about 5 p.m., through about Wednesday, to allow guardrail upgrades along the bridge approaches. Starting Monday morning all northbound traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane. This work zone lane restriction will be on the Henderson end of the northbound bridge to allow work along the median guardrail. This initial round of work is expected to be limited to the bridge approach.

Northbound motorists should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic as they approach the Audubon Park entrance along US 41 near the 18 mile marker. Again, all traffic will initially move to the right-hand or driving lane on Monday.

Commuters should consider allowing extra travel time. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow."

Work along the southbound bridge is done for now, but is expected to restart in the month of March. Get more details HERE
