The public is invited to attend Poetry Time for Parenting Time – Impressions & Reflections on Family, Friday, April 12, St. Anthony Catholic Church, 704 N First Avenue, Evansville. The event begins at 7 p.m.
Area poets Linda Reising, Teresa Roy, Barbara Bennett, Mark Williams, Rusty Smiddy, Tom Raithel, and Caroline Nellis (reading from poems of Alison Baumann), are scheduled for the one-hour event.
The dimly lit, soaring sanctuary provides an unusual backdrop for the recitation.
The Poetry Awareness Month event is free and honors the work of the Parenting Time Center. St. Anthony Catholic Parish is co-presenting this public event.
For more information, be sure to look up the event at “Parenting Time Center Evansville” on Facebook. Light refreshments will be offered. Following the reading, there will be time to talk with the poets. Free-will donations will be accepted for the Parenting Time Center, a privately funded not-for-profit agency.
