Jacob Higgins is wanted on attempted murder charges in connection with a hit and run that took place on Pearl Drive which left one victim hospitalized with multiple serious injuries.

The Vanderburgh Sheriff's Office reports Higgins was involved in an altercation with a group of males including 21-year-old Alexander J. Marshall and 20-year-old Daniel W. Jordan just before 3am Sunday morning that began at Show Me's West.

According to eyewitness reports Higgins arrived at the west side restaurant to meet up with friends when Marshall and Jordan pulled up in a dark colored minivan with several other unnamed individuals. A verbal argument led to a physical altercation that spilled across the street to the AMC Theater parking lot.

Witness reports went on to say a few subjects from the van began to throw large rocks at the windshield of Higgins white, T-Top Chevrolet Camero, and an unnamed white male wearing a yellow shirt pulled a handgun and pointed it at Higgins.

At that point, the subject got into his car and pulled away at a high rate of speed, striking both Marshall and Jordan, and dragging Marshall under the vehicle for approximately a quarter mile. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found both Marshall and Jordan laying in the east bound lanes of Pearl Drive.

An arrest warrant has been issued charging Higgins with Attempted Murder, a Class A Felony.

He also faces charges of Criminal Recklessness (Class D Felony) and Hit and Run (Class D Felony.)
