Our media partner, Eyewitness News, reported that Lincoln Elementary is opening up a in-school food pantry to assist and serve the kids and families at Lincoln School. It is the only one of it's kind in the Tristate.

Lincoln Principal Ronnetha Darrett, told Eyewitness News,

.....the food pantry has been two years in the making. "We knew that many of our families needed assistance and that they had to travel to food banks, sometimes out of our neighborhood, to get food for their families. This started us thinking 'Why can't we have a food bank here?'"

Way to go Lincoln School!!!! Maybe more schools will follow your lead. :-)
