EPD Honors Basketball Playing Officer!

The Evansville Police Department recently honored a basketball playing officer who worked with Police from across the state to form a team from Indiana which played in the World Police and Fire Games basketball tournament.

Officer Tyler George teamed up with officers from across Indiana to play in the tournament against other Police and Fire departments from across the world!

Officer George and his Team Indiana teammates went undefeated and beat Team Washington DC for the Championship! It was Team Indiana;s 1st ever championship!

Team Indiana will now defend their title in Chengdu China in 2019!

Several local businesses and charities have already pledged to help raise donations to send Officer George back to defend his title!
