Today the entertainment world has lost one of the most influential figures of all time.  TMZ is reporting that Dick Clark passed away today after a procedure last night in an LA Hopital lead to a massive heart attack this morning.

Clark's health had be deteriorating since he suffered a stroke in 2004.  Clark was responsible for many hit shows, most notably, "American Bandstand" and his "New Year's Rockin' Eve."  He was also the producer of the Academy of Country Music Awards.  Dick Clark was 82 years old.
