Easton Corbin's upcoming album, "About to Get Real," is about to drop, and the singer is excited about sharing it with fans, as tells Taste of Country Nights.

Corbin has been working on the album for a full year, and finally, the release date (June 30) is just around the corner.

“This project has been going on for the past year and a half probably," the singer tells our show. "It’s so funny, you work on a record and it’s a new record, but when you get done with it it’s like a year, year and a half process. We actually just finished this thing up a couple weeks ago and I’m very, very excited about it. I think it’s a great body of music that I think it really fits well together."

The title track of Corbin's forthcoming record is one fans have heard if they've seen the 33-year-old singer live. “That song is one I heard a long time ago and it’s just one of those songs that was really refreshing and cool and young," he says of "About to Get Real. "We actually play that in our live set. I play some guitar and stuff on it and it’s a lot of fun.”

The singer also plucked one from his last record that he just couldn't let go of, and now he's hopeful it could be a potential new single. “‘Are You With Me?’ is one of those songs that, you know, it was on my last record and that song was so special that we pulled it over on to this record," Corbin explains.

"Hopefully, you know, maybe it’ll be a single. I hope," he admits.

Corbin is set to play the Taste of Country Music Festival this weekend at Hunter Mountain, N.Y., and he's looking forward to taking the stage. He refers to outdoor festivals as "infectious," and with Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Toby Keith headlining and many other talents performing, it definitely will be!
