There's Yoga, Hot Yoga, heck there's even Yoga with goats. But if you're looking to really challenge your sense of balance, perhaps you'd try it on a floating board in the middle of a pool?

I just found out last week that the YMCA in Evansville offers Paddleboat Yoga. I don't know about you, but I have a hard enough time keeping my balance on land. I can't image the amount of core strength it takes to keep yourself staying upright on a floating board while contorting yourself into any given pose. The nice thing is, if you fall off, at least you're landing in heated pool water and not the floor.

The class is offered on Sundays from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. and is free to Y members. While the Facebook post doesn't mention a necessary experience level to participate, I would imagine some previous Yoga experience would help, but I could be entirely wrong.

For more info, contact Lindsay at benedyk@ymcaswin.org or call 812-492-6707. If you don't have any questions and you're ready to "dive" right in (sorry, couldn't help myself), reserve your spot by calling the YMCA front desk at 812-423-9622.
