Delta Air Lines Hit Returning Soldiers With Baggage Fees
Flying anymore can be very expensive especially if you will be checking bags. The airlines now charge for checked bags and that can get very expensive. Imagine being a soldier returning home from Afghanistan with your gear, only to be told you have to pay to check that gear. That is exactly what happened to a group of soldiers returning home on a Delta Airline flight recently. Delta has an agreement in place with the U.S. Armed Forces that allows returning soldiers to bring back all of their gear without cost. In total, the group paid about $2800 in bag fees that came straight out of thei
r pockets. We can only hope the agent that charged them was simply uninformed and not aware of the policy. To read and see the soldier's account from aol.com, click here.
