Dan + Shay have released their next single, "How Not To."

"How Not To" is a mid-tempo tune that lays out how tough it can be to get over someone.

"I don't know how not to think about you / When it's late at night and quiet / And I know that I ought to be the one who is strong and just moves on," Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney sing in the chorus of "How Not To." "But I probably turn down your road, knock-knock on your door / Fall back in your arms, wake up in the morning / Hating myself for the way that I can't help the way I still want you / I just don't know how not to, how not to, how not to."

A song about heartbreak and wanting someone even after it's over, "How Not To" is over is a sharp contrast to Dan + Shay's most recent single, "From the Ground Up." Readers can press play below to hear the song.

Smyers and Mooney will be out on the road this fall, for their Obsessed Tour. The trek will include shows in both the U.S. and Canada, with Walker Hayes joining Dan + Shay as a special guest. The tour takes its name from the duo’s sophomore album.

“We have been so humbled by the response to our new album and can’t wait to perform live for our fans this fall,” says Smyers. “Our fans inspired the title of the Obsessed album, so it was only fitting to name the tour after the album.”

More details on the Obsessed Tour are available on Dan + Shay's website. "How Not To," along with the rest of Obsessed, is available for purchase on iTunes now.
