Kenny Rogers was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013, calling it the high point of his career. Now, the famed museum is brightening up his 2014 by honoring the singer with his own exhibit.

‘Kenny Rogers: Through the Years’ will be set up in the museum’s East Gallery, and is opening on August 15, running almost a full year through June 14, 2015.  The Hall of Fame calls it a ‘cameo exhibition,’ explaining that it will inspire other similar programs, with more details to be announced later.

“Kenny Rogers redefined and elevated country music superstardom in every sense,” Museum Director Kyle Young says. “He blurred traditional genre lines and substantially expanded the core demographics of country music’s audience, all by being true to his unique artistic vision.”

“The Gambler” has sold over 100 million albums, and has charted a single each of the last seven decades.

There are loads of other country stars who have had exhibits at the museum. They include Reba McEntireCarrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, and Miranda Lambert, whose exhibit opens on May 16. Now, Rogers will join that list and his fans can enjoy the newly expanded Hall of Fame as well as Rogers’ huge impact on country music.

When Rogers was inducted into the Hall of Fame last year, he, along with Bobby Bare and the late Cowboy Jack Clement received the highest honor in country music. This year’s inductees were just announced on Tuesday (April 22), with Ronnie Milsap, Mac Wiseman, and Hank Cochran joining the prestigious ranks.
