The Mickey's Kingdom 10 day Community Build is set to begin on September 14th, and organizers are in need of a few more "Construction Captains" to help facilitate the build.

Captains must be able to work all 9-days of the build, be good with and capable of teaching people what they need to know in order to help with construction, and exhibit positive energy.

"Great construction skills" are "NOT a requirement" according the post above on the park's Facebook page, and captains will be trained in advance of the build by the supervisors of the playground's architect, Leathers.

The 20,000 square foot playground will instantly become a go-to destination along the Evansville riverfront for families and visitors looking to enjoy some time outdoors once completed, and will be constructed using plastic lumber instead of wood, as well as poured rubber in place of mulch. The park will also feature a walking bridge connected to the riverfront's stretch of the Greenway Passage to allow easy access between the two.

If you or someone you know would be a great fit, contact Catie at ct37@evansville.edu.
