Colts Get Peyton Some Backup, Sign Retired Collins
It's been hard to be a Tennessee Titans fan in Indiana. Colts fans run rampant (even though Nashville is way closer to Evansville than Indy...just sayin'). Now, one of the Titans saving graces from some lackluster play and Vince Young tantrums has jumped to the enemy. It was announced today that Kerry Collins, who retired from the Titans earlier this year, after 16 years in the NFL, has signed with the Indianapolis Colts. He will give some needed support to a quarterback position that has needed little to help in Indy. With Peyton Manning suffering from neck problems, Collins will take the role he has had many times before. He'll have to step in and try to make something
happen after a starter goes down to an injury. I will say nobody has done that better than Collins, so nice choice Colts. Let's hope that the Texans don't destroy all of us in the division this year! I guess this means Kerry's dreams of being a country music singer and songwriter will be put on hold, and his
buddies like Jamey Johnson will have t drive north to visit. Below is the press release about the signing of Kerry Collins.
