If you're a big Alan Jackson fan, Chris Young has got you covered. The country singer turned to social media to share a fun, stripped-down acoustic cover of Jackson's "Chattahoochee" on Thursday (Dec. 27).

In the video above, Young plays rhythm and sings the classic tune, which won CMA Awards for Single and Song of the Year and reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart when Jackson released it as the third single from his A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'bout Love) album in 1993. Jackson co-wrote the fun, up-tempo song with Jim McBride, and Young perfectly captures its sense of youthful innocence with his rendition, accompanied by a guitarist who throws down some tasty country lead licks.

The performance is part of a series of classic country covers Young is posting after letting fans vote in his Raised on Country cover contest.

"This week’s #RaisedOnCountry Cover Winner is one of the first guys I toured with AND someone who has sung on one of my albums!" Young writes to accompany his video. "None other than the one and only @officialalanjackson!"

Young previously covered George Strait's "The Fireman," and he's letting fans vote on several more covers in the coming weeks.

It's all to promote his upcoming new single, "Raised on Country," which he is gearing up to release in January. The song name-checks some past country favorites.

"I was raised on Merle, raised on Willie / Got my honky-tonk attitude from Joe Diffie / Daddy did too, it's family tradition / When someone cranks it up you can't help but listen / My upbringing sounds like George Strait singing / 'Cause if you know me, I was raised on country," he sings on the guitar-driven, modern country-rock track.

"Raised on Country" is set for release on Jan. 4.
