Last Saturday, I got to broadcast live from Cates Farm and Corn Maze.  I've lived in Henderson for over 4 years now and I had no idea that a place like this was right in my backyard.

Cates Farm is a working farm.  As a matter of fact, they were just getting in from harvesting corn when I got there.  They also offer lots of family fun for one low price.  Adults pay just $8 and kids 4-11 pay $6.  Kids 3 and under are free.  Once you've paid your  admission you are free to explore the pumpkin patch and pick your pumpkin to take home (also included in price).  Once you've picked it, you can paint it at their painting station.  There is playground equipment for the kids, duck races, corn hole, a corn box (much cleaner than a sand box), a picnic grove with bonfires, and a bunch more.

Maybe the coolest part are the corn mazes.  One for the little ones and one for the more daring.  And best of all, they have cut WKDQ right into the maze!

I didn't get to take my kids last weekend, but I fully intend to get them to Cates Farm before October is over.  Find them on Facebook by clicking here.  And to get there, just take the Pennyrile Parkway to Exit 76 and follow the signs.  You'll be there in about 10 minutes!
