After a week apart, Willie Nelson and his armadillo have been reunited, and the critter is officially 'on the road again.' The band's unofficial (and dearly loved) mascot was stolen following a Sept. 19 concert, but was finally returned unharmed Friday morning (Sept. 27).

Randy Travis' 'Influence Vol. 1: The Man I Am' is a simple collection of covers from artists that inspired him. Merle Haggard is the most represented singer, with eight cuts influenced by or recorded by him at some point. Three of the first four are Haggard songs, with 'What Have You Got Planned Tonight Diana' being the one to remember.

Conway Twitty died about the time I was really getting into country music, but I've always thought he was one of the best country artist at delivering a song.  The tone in his voice and the tongue in cheek meanings behind many of his songs make me a huge fan still.  Here are five awesome songs performed live by Conway Twitty!

Working in radio, occasionally you'll come across a hidden gem that someone was smart enough to keep.  In this case, not only was an employee of my former radio station smart enough to keep it, but I was smart enough to keep the copy they gave me.  It's a broadcast of 'Live At Libby's' from 1989 where a young Garth Brooks performed live.

Eric's First Concert
So, last night in Louisville at the Kentucky State Fair, the opening night concert was Alan Jackson at Freedom Hall.  What a flashback that is for me, as my first REAL concert was at the same state fair, in the same building, with the same headliner.  How many years ago was that?  My Lord! That was 19 years ago!
