March 5, 2013 Colin Farrell's new movie "Dead Man Down" opens this Friday and the promoters did something very unusual to promote the film in the form of a prank. The prank involved real people getting onto an elevator in New York City and seeing what appeared to be a murder in progress.
March 5, 2013 Miranda Lambert has really come out of her shell. When I met her about three years ago, she was very shy, granted it was backstage and she turned it on when she hit the stage. I just have noticed that she has a new sense of confidence in her videos. I know, her earlier videos had her using gunpowder and lead as a crazy ex girlfriend, but something is different now. I think she knows who she is and is confident in her talent and abilities. It helps that she looks AWESOME and knows she does!! LOVE IT!!
March 5, 2013 Sadly, on Friday, actress Bonnie Franklin passed away after her battle with pancreatic cancer - she was 69. Bonnie is probably best remembered for playing 'Ann Romano' on the CBS sitcom 'One Day at a Time.' The show was a huge part of my childhood. My mom, like Ann, had red hair, I wanted to look just like Valerie Bertinelli and the story took place in Indiana. It was also my first glimpse of a woman who was divorced. (I know...crazy, but true) Little did I know, that someday, I would be just like her.

March 1, 2013 I pride myself on the kind hearts of my children. While raising them, I ALWAYS tried to instill a sense of empathy toward others. I am happy to say they are all very giving and nonjudgmental individuals. I really want them to have a 'What would Jesus do?' mentality. In our world today, it's hard to teach that kind of love. But, that's not going to stop me. And, it shouldn't stop you either.
When I saw this video, I was outraged!! And YOU will be too. But, after we clench our fists in anger, grit our teeth and shake our head, we must stand back and remember to teach love.
February 28, 2013 Martin Tremblay was a youth hockey coach in British Columbia seven months ago, and he is now going to jail for intentionally tripping two opposing players, aged 10 and 13, during the postgame handshake. One of the boys actually broke his wrists trying to break the fall. At the time, Tremblay was arrested and charged for his actions, but the other day, Tremblay received a 15-day jail sentence.
February 27, 2013 The Harry Potter movies gave us so many cool things, like the Elder Wand, the Resurrection stone and many other devices that will probably never exist beyond the imagination. The coolest gadget from the movie had to be the Invisibility Cloak, which was passed on to Harry by his father James. The cloak itself does not exist yet, but the technology does and a prototype proves it.
February 27, 2013 Ever since I can remember, we danced at my house. My mom would step touch, step touch to the radio while keeping the beat by making a sound with her lips a tongue and snap her fingers. I know now why she put me in dance lessons at the age of five - she wanted me to have better mom dance moves. But after becoming a mom myself, I realize that all moms have the SAME moves. ;-)
