The NCAA-GLVC Conference Men's Basketball Tournament is coming to Evansville's Ford Center Thursday, March 7 through Sunday, March 10. As you know, both the University of Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan are in the GLVC. The basketball action will be exciting and so will the Family Fun Fest on Sat., March 9.
Leslie and I were discussing this on air this morning in light of yesterday's Daytona 500 where Danica Patrick finished 8th after earning the pole position in qualifying. At the start of the final lap, Patrick was third with a shot at second, but by the end of the lap and the race, she dropped to 8th. Jimmie Johnson won the Daytona 500 on Sunday, holding off Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Newman to win the first points race of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Pole-sitter Danica Patrick finished eighth. Earlier in the race on lap 90, Patrick became the first woman to lead a lap at the Daytona 500.
