You Might Have at Least $1500 Sitting In Your House Right Now and Not Even Know It

Have you ever taken stock of the junk you have in your house that you no longer use? Maybe you should, because according to a new study nine out of 10 of us could probably make as much as $1500 selling that junk. Leslie Unleashes On Herself When Her Son Has to Remind Her About the Importance of Giving to Others

I pride myself on the kind hearts of my children. While raising them, I ALWAYS tried to instill a sense of empathy toward others. I am happy to say they are all very giving and nonjudgmental individuals. I really want them to have a 'What would Jesus do?' mentality. In our world today, it's hard to teach that kind of love. When I saw this video, I was outraged!! And YOU will be too. But, after we clench our fists in anger, grit our teeth and shake our head, we must stand back and remember to teach love.

Indiana Legislators Will Finally Take Up a Bill to End the Ban on Sunday Alcohol Sales

It was just about one year ago the Indiana General Assembly refused to give a hearing to a bill, which would allow Sunday alcohol sales leaving Indiana and Connecticut as the only states with such a ban. A few months later, Connecticut lifted their ban thus, leaving Indiana as the only hold out on lifting the ban. That could finally change as the House public policy committee scheduled a hearing on a bill to lift the ban and allow carry-out liquor sales.

Applebee’s Waitress Fired Over Pastor’s No Tip Receipt

A couple of days ago, a story broke about a photo of a restaurant receipt that did not include a tip, but did have a hand written note that read, 'I give God 10% why do you get 18'. The note was reportedly left by a church Pastor who had  a total bill of $34.93. A server who is now being identified as Chelsea Welch, posted the photo of the receipt on Reddit and it went viral.

Is the Presidential Inauguration Celebration Out of Step With America?

Yesterday was a big day for President Obama with his second inauguration, but today, a few questions. My wife and I were watching the highlights of the day on the news last night and it struck us both how extravagant the celebration was with all of the pageantry that we - and the taxpayers pay for. I ask this question based on the current economic status of our country and wonder if the celebration is out of step with America.

New ATM Will Also Dispense One and Five Dollar Bills

You need cash and search for the nearest ATM to get your cash...no problem, right? Well, what if you only need $15? You can't do that because most ATMs only dispense $20 bills. Say Goodbye to Twinkies – Hostess Is Closing Its Doors

It's hard to imagine a world without Twinkies, Ho Hos and Ding-Dongs, but that is our new reality as Hostess Brands Inc. announces it's plan to go out of business and close it's doors for good. Red Cross Seeking Monetary Donations for Hurricane Sandy

The American Red Cross is always in need of donations, whether it be blood, cash, food, clothes or supplies. The Red Cross is funded entirely through donations and receives no government funding whatsoever, which is why what they do is so important. They are on the scene immediately when disaster hits and they are on the ground in full force right now in New York, New Jersey and several other eastern states in the wake of Sandy, one of the most devastating storms the eastern seaboard has ever seen.

Is There Too Much Money in Sports?

On the surface, the answer to that question seems pretty obvious, but maybe it's time to take a much harder look at that question. What brought this to a head for me is the Lance Armstrong story, which unless you have been stranded on Gilligan's Island, you know all about his situation.
