On April 23rd, 2013, at approximately 4:45pm, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a bomb threat at Menards, located at 3001 Heartland Crossing Blvd. An investigation was opened after responding units were informed that a male subject made threats to blow up this location during a phone call to the store.
4 weeks ago This morning, country legend, George Jones passed away at the age of 81. After hearing the news, Jon and I reacted with a tribute to George with an additional hour of his music, requested by you. Our Facebook page blew up with requests. Country artists also turned to Facebook and Twitter to share their memories and express their sadness.

A. Slam the garage door shut and call 911
B. Yell at the intruder to get off your property and then run and hide

4 weeks ago Earlier in the week, I saw the above Facebook post by Warrick Animal Control which made me search my heart of how people can be so cruel. It was only in the overwhelming response of support that I could believe humanity isn't all bad.

April 20, 2013 Guns & Hoses 6 with 911 Gives Hope is tonight at the Ford Center beginning at 7pm, doors open at 6pm. All the proceeds from the event will be distributed to children's charities in the Evansville area. Guns & Hoses is a charity boxing match between local police officers and fire fighters, which has grown to one of the biggest sporting events in the area.

UPDATE 4/18/2013 3:45 PM: The moderate risk for severe weather has been downgraded to a high-end slight risk. This means that the atmospheric conditions are not as favorable for a dense, widespread area of severe weather. Although the risk has been downgraded, still be cautious of tornadoes and damaging winds throughout the evening hours.
The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center out of Paducah, Kentucky has issued a statement for the tri-state area saying there is a potential for severe weather in the area later tonight and tomorrow.
April 16, 2013 I am sitting here trying to make sense of the events of the last 24 hours and just like 9/11, I am struggling to understand, as are most of us.
