I had a chance to talk to new artist Eric Paslay once again, as we approach the Lynyrd Skynyrd show that will have the youngster opening for a group he has idolized.  Hear what the 'Friday Night' singer had to say.

One of the great perks of being in this business is our contact with the artists. I have been doing this for about 30 years, Leslie and Eric have been doing this long enough to get to know a lot of artists and performers, most of whom are very nice and professional and occasionally, we might wind up with a long term friendship with a particular artist.

Last month at the CMA Music Festival, Baby Boy and myself hopped on the bus with Eric Paslay, the hot new country artist that will be opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd on August 1st at the Ford Center.  We discussed his songwriting, his new single and video, plus the interesting way he came to open the Skynyrd show, by meeting us in Memphis last January.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is celebrating 40 years of touring, and they'll be making a stop at Evansville's Ford Center on August 1st.  Friday morning, Jon and Leslie spoke with long-time front man for the band, Johnny Van Zant.

Aaron Lewis is headed to The Victory Theater this Sunday for the Jagermeister Country Tour.  He's also got a new single on The Country Whuppin'.  I got a chance to chat with him about all of that and his great charity he and his wife started in their home state of Massachusetts.

While taking in the awesome week at the CMA Music Fest, I was able to interview a legend in country music, Lee Greenwood.  Lee is celebrating 30 years of his hit, 'God Bless The USA' with a new book and an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum!

Maggie Rose is one of the rising stars in country music, after being in Nashville for quite some time.  Her song, 'Better' is rising up the charts and really making people take notice of this young singer/songwriter.  Her fan base is so strong, she was voted on Twitter as the MVP of the City of Hope charity softball game over heavy hitters like Florida Georgia Line, Scotty McCreery, Phil Vassar, K

CMA week was jam packed with lots of fun and great interviews.  This was a great one with Lauren Alaina who performed on the Opry stage for the Friday Night Opry, before her morning of playing softball for the second straight year in the City of Hope Challenge.  We talked about the game, high school graduation, and growing up "Barefoot and Buckwild!"

During the CMA Music Fest Coverage, Myself and Baby Boy stepped away from the craziness of downtown Nashville and stepped behind the stage of the Grand Ole Opry to experience the show that made country music famous.  Opry staple, Jim Ed Brown talked to me about tradition, his friend, Jon Prell, and I found out that we have something in common...we both would chase Kellie Pickler.

I had the pleasure of talking with Casey James about what it's like performing on the Opry, his guitar influences, and apparently mad Disc Golf Skills.

She has risen from a young Oklahoma country girl to the biggest and most glamorous star in country music.  She achieved her dream of becoming a Grand Ole Opry member in 2008, and on Friday, June 7th, during CMA Music Fest, Carrie Underwood celebrated 5 years of being a member, and I was lucky enough to be there.

This Saturday, the WWE Supershow takes over The Ford Center in Evansville.  One of the stars you can expect to see is the man who puts the 'W' in WWE.  He's the 'Very European,' Antonio Cesaro.  I got to speak with him about the big event and his involvement.
