Valentine's Day is a little over a week away and the guys are getting nervous. First of all, I don't really care for Valentine's day...and yes, my wife is aware of that fact. I think it's a very commercial holiday that pressures people into spending money they don't really want to spend or can afford to spend in some cases - it can be a stressful day.
Just when you thought Psy's breakout hit, 'Gangnam Style' had almost gone away, it starts to penetrate the brains of babies. Keep your baby away from this song or they could suffer side effects like this.
On the show this morning, I told you it's 'National Weatherman's Day.' The first thing that came to my mind was my buddy Wayne Hart over at Eyewitness News. I remembered a video I had seen of some promos he made in Louisville while working at WLKY.

It looked too good and after I tasted it, I realized it tasted too good as well. This stuff could get you into trouble - like 30 or 40 extra pounds trouble. I know without a doubt that I could eat a entire jar and then another jar and then another. But only someone like Furious Pete would be able to eat whole jars and still look like he only eats veggies and white meat chicken.

Nothing makes the world go around quite like babies. Every parent has a story about their children when they were babies that they will tell until their dying day. I have several about each of my kids that are priceless and that I I will never forget.
Are you having a Super Bowl party at your house, but you would rather stick pins in your eyes? A Super Bowl party is a lot of pressure and some people might feel like everyone else is expecting YOU to throw the party. Who needs people spilling seven layer dip all over the carpet and couch, not bringing anything to drink as a simple courtesy or having to deal with that one guest that wants everybody to shut up during the game and the commercials?
It's surprisingly rough being a mascot these days. Sure, they're the awesome side entertainment at sporting events, but that puts a heck of a lot of pressure on them. Think about it-- mascots are constantly forced to cartwheel on ledges, do backflips in front of thousands of people and just be downright stupid. It can be awful, especially when things go wrong. Cue: mascot fails.
My sons, and I am sure your kids too, are addicted to video games. They can spend hours sitting on their butts, staring at a screen, with their controller in hand - trying to beat the game and be totally content and happy. I just DON'T understand it. And I'm guessing that this grandpa couldn't understand it either...until he took control of the controller.
Super Bowl Sunday is not an American holiday. Well, not an official one, anyway. But if it was, it'd be the best one, by far.
