When I was 5 years old, my mom surprised me by taking me to see the movie 'Bed Knobs and Broomsticks.' I was thrilled because it was a rare treat to actually go to the movie theatre. My mom had a second surprise though, she had signed me up for dance and gymnastics classes. I was SO happy.

Immediately I began dreaming of all of the crazy flips and daring, gravity defying moves I would be doing...SOON. Well, that didn't happen! I sucked at gymnastics. I was GREAT at dancing, but I SUCKED at gymnastics. So, when I see someone who appears to have built in springs in their legs and two way hinges on their backs, I am completely impressed. If you add a ball to that? INSANE!!!

CVS Pharmacy Wants to Know Employees' Weight and Body Fat Or They Will Be Charged a Fine

CVS Pharmacy is requiring all employees to submit their weight, body fat, cholesterol and other vitals if they use the company's health plan. If they refuse to submit the information, they will be charged an additional $50 per month for their insurance. On one hand, with rising health insurance costs, I can understand why they want this, but on the other hand, it's very scary and brings up many privacy issues.

Ever since I can remember, we danced at my house. My mom would step touch, step touch to the radio while keeping the beat by making a sound with her lips a tongue and snap her fingers. I know now why she put me in dance lessons at the age of five - she wanted me to have better mom dance moves. But after becoming a mom myself, I realize that all moms have the SAME moves. ;-)

My sons LOVE sports, especially basketball. Since they could hold a mini basketball in their hands, they were shooting a basket. They didn't always make it but I sure made a big deal when they did.

I only ask this question because of something I have been watching over the last two days at my son's school, which I will not identify because it's not about the school - it's about the system in general. The last two days were tryouts for the school's boy’s basketball team. This particular school has a boy’s team and a girl’s team.
