4 weeks ago It is Saturday morning and we are in the middle of the WKDQ Country Classic Show. It's always tough to do this show after we have lost one of the greats that made country music what it is today. As you are well aware, George Jones died yesterday at the age of 81. His farewell tour was just here in Evansville on March 23rd. Who knew it would be farewell for good when he left town.
Dogs, as the saying goes, are man’s best friend, so it's only right and logical that we might want to spend some quality time with our buds. Walks in the park and tossing the Frisbee on the beach are great, but if you really want to engage the human-canine relationship—and have a really good time while you’re at it—you might want to think about setting up a dog agility course in your backyard or garden.

There will be much written and said about the greatest country singer of all time in the days and weeks ahead. I could write a book about how I feel right now and more important, what George Jones meant to country music and his everlasting impact on the genre. Instead, this post will be dedicated to a moment that brought Jones to tears in his living room in 1999.

April 21, 2013 As the temperature gets warmer, my mind goes back to the summer before I turned 17. That is when I experienced love for the first time. NOOOO, not THAT kind of love - I was a good girl. ;- ) I mean the first butterflies, first kiss...(ok, MAKE OUT) first attempt at a relationship. His name was David and I fell for him so bad. The summer I shared with him will always be one of the best memories of my life.
