March 29, 2013 On the show this morning, we had a lengthy discussion about Easter. It involved everything from Easter candy to a debate on whether to take the word 'Easter' out of egg hunts. Which, by the way, got VERY heated. I will address THAT over the weekend. :-) Any way, I mentioned that I had actually seen the Easter Bunny hopping around in downtown Evansville hiding his eggs. A listener has ALSO seen the furry little guy, but he wasn't hopping around. He even took a picture.
March 18, 2013 In my previous life, before radio, I worked with kids. It was a time in my life that I found the most rewarding. All of my students brought so much life into my life. Well, some were more reluctant to shine their light than others. LOL But each and every one of them taught me more than I could have ever taught them.
One of my former students, whom I am SO proud of, is working with the Arc Crisis Center. She asked me if I would help them get the word out about a magical and remarkable event for children in crisis.
Spring is here, and it's time to get outside and begin working on those home projects! Need some good ideas? Even though it is hard to believe, it is almost that time of year again. Before we know it, the school year will be wrapping up, which means prom is just around the corner!
For just about every girl, prom is something we look forward to before we even enter high school territory. And as every girl knows, there is one very important detail that goes into making that big night perfect: THE DRESS.
March 15, 2013 All over the Tri-State, students spend 6 to 10 weeks preparing for ONE weekend. They spend those weeks learning blocking, lines, character development, sometimes music; building sets, gathering props, making costumes, setting light cues, utilizing sound equipment and selling tickets. Through these tasks they are learning skills that are invaluable, skills that many of them will not learn in the class room. Countless hours are put in to meet a deadline. Unlike sports teams that have an entire season to try and perfect their game, students of theatre have one weekend, one chance to give you a winning performance.

March 8, 2013 On our show this morning, we were so happy to see our friends Keith Burns and Michelle Poe. The duo Burns and Poe will be performing at Casino Aztar TONIGHT and SATURDAY! Two performances each night 8pm and 10pm.

March 7, 2013 Every Thursday, Kendal Paul from the Vanderburgh Humane Society brings a pet to the studio that is ready for adoption and looking for a forever family. Today, she brought a cute, 2-year-old rabbit named 'Buttons.'
March 6, 2013 Remember, last month, when I told you about the 'Spontaneous Group Dance' or Flash Mob the Girl Scouts were doing in honor of National Girl Scout Cookie Day at Eastland Mall? Well, to remind you that your time is running out to BUY your YUMMY Girl Scout Cookies, here is the video of the dance. So cute!
The NCAA-GLVC Conference Men's Basketball Tournament is coming to Evansville's Ford Center Thursday, March 7 through Sunday, March 10. As you know, both the University of Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan are in the GLVC. The basketball action will be exciting and so will the Family Fun Fest on Sat., March 9.
February 8, 2013 We had a deliciously, GREAT time this morning judging a dessert contest with the Girl Scouts of Southwestern Indiana. Director of Communications Stacey Godbold came into the studio barring three, Girl Scout cookie inspired, incredible desserts. It was all a part of promoting 'National Girl Scouts Day.' Along with visiting several radio stations, Stacey has also planned a... (well we aren't supposed to say FLASH MOB, but it is..lol) spontaneous group dance for tonight at Eastland Mall at 6:30 in front of Yankee Candle.
