Once again we are gripped with lottery fever because tonight’s 42-state Mega Millions jackpot is a staggering $363 million, the third largest in the history of the game. Just so you know, the odds of winning tonight’s jackpot is 1 in 176 million. I was at a Thornton’s in Henderson a little while ago and it took forever to pay for gas because of the people buying their Mega Millions tickets. Is there anything you can do to increase your chances of winning? As a matter of fact, there is. Richard Lustig is a seven-time lottery winner in Florida and plays the lottery like a full-time job. Sure, he loses some, but he has won more than $1 million.
Here are Lustig’s tips for buying tickets and getting the best chance possible:
- When jackpots get this high, people tend to spend much more than they normally would because they think more tickets equals better chance, not true…the odds stay the same. Lustig says don’t spend more than you can afford to lose.
- Don’t let the machine pick your number. Pick your own umbers and stay with those numbers.
- Do your homework. Go online and make sure the set or sets of numbers you are playing have not come up before.
- Stick to your strategy. You have to learn what number to play and how often to play.

Or does it??? ;-) Ok, I know it would appear that I, if I'm not the cat lady NOW, I am well on my way. In the past year, I have become very in tune with cats and all of their personalities. Maybe that's why I love them so much and they, in turn, are drawn to me. lol

Deer Goes Crazy After Crashing Into a Bus
May 18, 2013 12:00 PM I have had my fair share of run ins with deer. Living in the country, it's just a way of life. You must, during the early morning hours and evening/night hours, constantly be on alert and have your eyes scanning the sides of the road.
Once, on a trip back to Indiana from Tennessee, a deer came inches away from slamming through the passenger side window of my car, injuring my son. Luckily, the deer hit the front of the windshield and rolled off the hood of the car. But in the case of this bus, it came right through the window and went crazy!!

The "Sixty for Sixty" campaign to get George his 60th #1 single while he was still 60 years old didn't quite make it, "Give It All We Got Tonight" has only made it to #10. But, that's OK, there is no one like George Strait and there quite possibly never will be. Several, I mean tons, of artists made videos to try and urge fans to buy the single. It is very touching. Watch them give love and admiration to the king of country music.
