‘Bread or Baby Arm?’ Meme Is Japan’s Oddest Obsession

Ah, Japan — the land of offbeat game shows and now this.

Someone noticed that loaves of bread being sold at the country’s 7-Eleven looked eerily similar to a baby’s arm, so guess what? It’s now a thing on Twitter, with moms and dads posting pictures comparing bread and baby arms, using the hashtag #MyBaby’sGotTheBestBreadPhoto, because if there’s one thing parents of little ones have it’s time and enough energy to participate in the silliest of trends.

Take a look at some of the comparisons and judge for yourself. We can’t say for sure, but we suspect you may want to make a sandwich after you done.
