Brad Paisley Fulfills Terminally Ill Man’s Final Wish

Good-hearted country star Brad Paisley fulfilled a dying man’s wish over the weekend, accepting a gift of one of his most prized possessions — a custom-made guitar.
Lee Feldman was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, and when he learned that his prognosis was terminal, the Ephrata, Penn. resident didn’t know what to do with the guitar, which he considers one of his most important possessions. But a dream changed everything.
“I had this dream,” Feldman tells Fox 43 in Harrisburg. “And I said, ‘Who can I find that can play the frets off a guitar?’ And the voice came out and it said, ‘Brad Paisley.’”
Feldman managed to contact the superstar through some friends in the music business, and he got the chance to personally present Paisley with the guitar before the singer’s concert in Hershey on Saturday night (Oct. 6). It turned out that Paisley’s own life had been touched by the same disease the man is fighting. “He told me that his grandfather had died from pancreatic cancer,” Feldman says. “And that his grandfather was the one who taught him how to play guitar in the first place.”
Not only did Feldman get to give his prized guitar a good home, but Paisley told him he plans to use the instrument to help record his next album. “That’s the greatest thing I wanted to hear,” Feldman says. “I don’t want that guitar to be a trophy. I didn’t want it to sit and collect dust. I want somebody to play it, and that’s why I gave it to him.”
