Boonville Students Going To State Finals Enjoy Small Town Tradition

It's a great time to be a Boonville Pioneer and Pioneer alum, as their athletic programs are shining!For the second time ever, Boonville Band of Gold will be marching into State Finals this year. Not only that, but Cross Country runner, Haley Barker will also be heading to State as well.

Haley and the Band of Gold got to experience a Boonville tradition this morning. If you were in Boonville and wondered "why in the world are those kids riding around town on those fire trucks," now you know why! Boonville Pioneers Facebook page showed the students kicking off their fire truck ride around town earlier this morning:

Congratulations, Haley and the Band of Gold for making your hometown proud! Also, good luck to the Pioneer football team as they play in the second round of Sectionals! I will be rooting for you all!

While I am at it, I don't want to seem too biased because I am from Boonville. I love to show hometown pride, but I also love to show Tri-State pride as well. Congratulations to all of the area bands going to State and all other athletes making their way to the State finals. Good luck to all teams playing in high school football sectionals as well.
