Last week, we reported on Eve Kemp, an 11-year-old girl who went missing in Boonville.

Today, her family released an apology note from Eve to the tri-state.

Dear People Who Care,

I'm so sorry for what I have done. I did not realize how much I have cost you all. I hope you can forgive me for what I have done. I'm going to try to get some help and try to talk more. I hope that no one was badly hurt. and I'm sorry some of you left work and family time to come help. I did not realize how many people cared for me. My stepmom told me that when I'm lonely to know and think of all the people who love me and care.

Love,
Eve Kemp

I think I can speak for all of us who worked to locate Ms. Kemp through traditional media, social media or on-site searching when I say that I certainly appreciate the sweet letter. Childhood can be very trying and growing up is even more challenging. Sometimes, life becomes a little overwhelming. Here at Townsquare Media, we are so happy that she was found safe and a big shout out to the tri-state for being so proactive in finding her!
