Country music has a rich tradition of spiritual music. That is where it's roots came from. Today, artists still pay homage to that with their on spiritual music. Blake Shelton has a new spiritual song out now and he says that it came to him in a dream.

It's called "Savior's Shadow" and it's on his upcoming album, "If I'm Honest".  He says, quote, "At a very dark time in my life last year I dreamed the first verse of this song.  I woke up and immediately wrote it down."  Blake goes on to say "Now, looking back, I know it was God's way of telling me that he's here and things are gonna be okay."

I think that it's a song that most people who have gone through a rough patch in their life can relate to. As you know, Blake's divorce from Miranda Lambert occurred last  year and it received a lot of public attention. This may be the reason for the dark time that he speaks of. Regardless, if you have ever had a dark time of your own, you could easily relate to this song.
