Blake Shelton to Appear on Christina Aguilera’s New Album

The coaches on ‘The Voice‘ are now like family, and their onscreen “rapport” has filtered into real life, in both personal and professional capacities. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have enjoyed a very public bromance, while Levine and Christina Aguilera teamed up for his band Maroon 5′s mega smash hit ‘Moves Like Jagger.’ Now, Aguilera, a certified pop diva, has recruited both Shelton and fellowcoach Cee Lo Green to appear on her new album, ‘Lotus,’ which drops on Nov. 13.
According to the track listing leaked by retail outlets, the Shelton-Aguilera song is called ‘Just a Fool,’ but that’s about all that we know about the pairing. Since Shelton is decidedly country, and Aguilera is quite a belter in the pop world, we’re not sure what to expect. Will Shelton inject a little country twang into her song? Did she experiment with a song that has a bit of a country vibe? Will the song play to his strengths? To hers? Or both? Will it be a duet? A cameo? The possibilities are endless as to how this guest spot will shake out.
Whatever the case, we’ll look forward to hearing it. This collaboration was bound to happen, since Shelton and Aguilera sit next to each other in their big red chairs on ‘The Voice’ stage and engage in playful banter. It was just a matter of time before they sidestepped the war of words and hit the studio to lay down some music.
