I have been at WKDQ for 13 years and have loved every minute of it. My career started in Southern California and I arrived in Evansville in 1994. I have three children that keep me very busy and the rare opportunity to go out and not have a six foot mouse serving your table is a rare and welcome treat. I love motorcycles and classic country and even host the WKDQ Country Classics show every Saturday from 6-10am. If I can I can ever play a song for you, let me know at wkdq.com.

Viral Video Shows Clam Digging Not Eating [Video]
I think it is pretty fair to say that any clam on the kitchen table is probably meant to be eaten - not to eat. The below video is very strange and has gone viral. You can see the clam on a table surrounded by salt, when it appears the tongue of the clam emerges and begins to eat the salt, but according to scientists, that is not at all what is happening...
The First Photo on the Internet in 1992 Turns 20 on July 18
The modern day internet was born 20 years ago in 1992 and created by Tim Berners-Lee. The first photo posted on the World Wide Web was nothing special at all when it was posted on July 18, 1992. It's the backstory of the photo that is very interesting because it has a direct tie-in to CERN, The European Organization for Nuclear Research that has been in the news lately for it's possible discovery
Luke Bryan Apologizes For All Star Game National Anthem Performance [Video]
The above title might be slightly misleading because it wasn't his actual performance that got him in trouble as much as what he did during the performance at last night's Major League All-Star game. Our National Anthem is a very difficult song to sing and we have all witnessed someone messing it up in one way or another...

Make a Fresh Delicious McDonald’s Big Mac in Your Home Kitchen [Video]
McDonald's Canada launched a PR campaign a while back to show that their secrets are really not that secret at all. Recently, I posted a video showing how McDonald's photographs their food because people were asking why the pictures of the burgers for instance, were so different than the one they bought and the video was very interesting...
Homemade Slip ‘N Slide is Not a Good Idea [Video]
A Slip 'N Slide and summer go hand in hand. The Otters have a Slip 'N Slide competition between innings at Bosse Field this summer. It has been so hot lately, the need to cool off has never been greater and when you were a kid, there was nothing like an afternoon out on the Slip 'N Slide...
Owning a Dog Could Give Your Baby’s Health a Big Boost
Every Thursday, Leslie and I have Sydney Long from the Vanderburgh Humane Society in studio to discuss pet adoption, and we usually feature a dog looking for a great, loving home. The relationship between children and dogs needs little explanation and Long talks about how well the dogs do when adopted by families with children. A new study says that babies in dog-owning homes might actually be hea
A 32-Year-Old Man Has a Conversation With His 12-Year-Old Self
Imagine being able to go back in time and have a conversation with yourself. Brad Paisley recorded a song about that very subject called "Letter To Me.” Morgan Freeman referred to it in the "Shawshank Redemption" - during his final parole hearing when he says that he wants to talk with that stupid kid and talk some sense into him...

This is great news for fans of the ever popular 'pull my finger' game. Next time somebody gets mad at you for flatulating in their presence, tell them your are just simply lowering your blood pressure. According to a new study, the same gas that produces flatulence has been shown to control blood pressure in rodents.
New Video Might Help Renew Your Faith in Humanity [Video]
Watching the nightly news anymore can be a major downer. It seems like every time we turn around there is a news story surfacing about somebody doing something horrible. From all of the strife in the Middle East to the wildfires that are burning out of control in the west - we need something to remind us that there is still more good in the world than bad...
Applying Make Up Can Be Deadly [Video]
The video below is not at all what you might think. Distracted driving has been a major topic of discussion lately - in fact, we have posted several stories here about that very subject.
A while back, I did a story about a guy who got a major ticket for eating an entire rotisserie chicken while driving...
