On Friday, June 1st, 100 members of the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville and 75 team members from OneMain Financial will participate in a neighborhood clean-up in the surrounding blocks of 700 Bellemeade Avenue for the ninth consecutive year.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will kick off the event at 11:15am. Then, Club members and OneMain team members will spend approximately 45 minutes walking in small groups in the neighborhood surrounding the Club to pick up trash. The event will conclude with a free lunch for Club members, staff and volunteers courtesy of OneMain, and all participants will receive a free t-shirt.

“To provide the ultimate Club experience we involve youth in volunteer and community engagement initiatives monthly. The support of OneMain helps drive health and wellness and community awareness among all our members,” said Ron Ryan, Boys & Girls Club Executive Director.

OneMain also partners with the Boys & Girls Club through the Youth for Unity Program, a cultural diversity program recognizing different behaviors and lifestyles, and presented the Club with $10,000 towards this program earlier this year.
