An Open Letter to the Townsquare Media DJs in Evansville and Owensboro on National DJ Day

I was alerted that today is national DJ day! I happen to work with some of the best DJs in the biz. If you've ever wondered, a DJ (or disc jockey) is a person who selects and plays recorded music for an audience. All of mine are radio DJs so at any given moment, they are chatting it up with up thousands of people!

Let's think about this for a moment. How would you feel if every day you stood in front of thousands of people and just... talked... with zero editing? Pretty nerve racking huh? But, these guys are pros!

And DJs are unlike any other person or media out there. They don't have a set script - their number one job is to connect with you - their audience. There is so much negativity and unhappiness in the world, it's their mission to bring you a little joy, enlighten you with nuggets of information and keep you safe during the worst possible times. I've seen them share laughter and tears with their audience - some in a stretch of mere moments.

I happen to think the DJs I work with are some of the funniest, most compassionate, creative and greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with or knowing. Thanks guys and happy DJ day!
