The Country Music Association is celebrating the 50th annual CMA Awards with a star-studded tribute to country music. On Sept. 16, the CMA will release "Forever Country," a new single featuring 30 of the biggest names in country music.

"Forever Country" is an impressive medley of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads," Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" and Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You." Following the single's release, a full-length music video will premiere on Sept. 20; the video will celebrate the past, present and future of country music and the community that surrounds it.

""Forever Country" is a moving tribute to country music, country music fans, and the artists who have built this format into what it is today,” says CMA CEO Sarah Trahern. "This music video is the product of the CMA Board of Directors who came together in support of this project as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards, a statement on the heritage and future of the country music industry, and a reflection of this year’s Awards theme: 'Then. Now. Forever Country.'"

The full list of performers on "Forever Country" is still being announced, but the official website has already revealed over a dozen performers, including Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, Kacey Musgraves, Tim McGraw, Nelson, Brad Paisley, Parton, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Randy Travis, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Trisha Yearwood. Teasers of participating artists will continue to be released on the website and social media through the video's release.

Black-and-white clips of performers singing small clips of one of the three songs have been peppering social media for weeks, both from CMA and the artists themselves. Everyone from Musgraves to Urban to Lady A has posted on Instagram to share their excitement.

"Forever Country" was produced by CMA Award-winning songwriter Shane McAnally and directed by Grammy Award-winning director Joseph Kahn. Country radio stations owned by Townsquare Media, The Boot's parent company, will be playing the song all day Friday, following its release at 8:30AM ET, and the Taste of Country Nights radio show will be playing it once an hour that evening.
