Ad Agency Uses Fake Elevator Murder Prank to Promote “Dead Man Down”
Colin Farrell's new movie "Dead Man Down" opens this Friday and the promoters did something very unusual to promote the film in the form of a prank. The prank involved real people getting onto an elevator in New York City and seeing what appeared to be a murder in progress. When the elevator doors opened, unsuspecting citizens would see a guy strangling another guy with a rope. Some ran away screaming, some stood frozen, some actually tried to help the victim by stopping it - one guy paused to take a picture with his phone.
As funny as some of the reactions are, I think some were set-ups, but the good news is you can judge for yourself. What would you have done?
