8 Local High Schools Marching to State Finals in Indy
After hours and hours of musical practice in the band room to tirelessly marching outdoors to their competition program, eight local high school marching bands have made it to the state finals! Each will compete in the Indiana State School Music Association’s state finals this Saturday, November 7th.
The ISSMA state marching band finals will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy with 4 classes in competition. Performance times are as follows: (Eastern)
Class A
Castle, Newburgh 8:58 pm
Class B
F.J. Reitz, Evansville 1:23 pm
Jasper 2:28 pm
Class C
Lincoln/Vincennes 11:18 am
Class D
South Spencer, Rockport 5:09 pm
Forest Park, Ferdinand 6:27 pm
Mater Dei, Evansville 6:40 pm
Tell City 4:43 pm
Tickets are $20 – Adults
$18 – Students and pre-schoolers
Free – Babies under 2 not occupying a seat
Tickets are good all day. Gates will open at 9 am.
Ticket Sales: If you did not purchase tickets through your school, you will need to get your tickets at the Lucas Oil Stadium ticket windows located at the Northeast corner, or Southeast corner of the stadium close to Capitol Avenue. The windows are on street level across from the Post Office. No tickets are sold at the entrances. Entry into the stadium will be through the North and West entrance only.
