For the 5th year, the life of Garrett Ward will be honored with a huge BBQ benefit. Garrett was a Boonville High School student that passed away a few years back. His memory has been honored every year since then with a BBQ Competition and Fundraiser. The 5th Annual Smokin' For Garrett BBQ Competition and Fundraiser is coming up on April 27th and 28th at Thresherman's Park in Boonville.

The program awards scholarships for Warrick County, Indiana students interested in pursuing a vocational trade after high school. Garrett was a welder by trade and the scholarships are geared toward talented individuals that would like a career in a skilled trade.

It's a great way to help out kids in the community that want to advance into a skilled trade. Not only that, but the BBQ is AMAZING! There will be a Kansas City BBQ Society competition that will bring some of the best teams from the region to Boonville.  The event will also feature a silent auction and pre order BBQ sales. This year, 48 teams signed up so far, which makes it their highest yet!

You do not want to miss out on this great event. This year they will also hold a silent auction, craft fair, and more at the 5th Annual Smokin' For Garrett BBQ Competition and Fundraiser. Check out the details below.
