The 12th annual Fido Walk, Rock & Run will be taking place Saturday, September 13th, bringing a fun-filled morning that will benefit the Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS). Taking place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. near Garvin Park (West Morgan Avenue and Read Street), the event will again feature the Fido Walk pledge walk as well as a 5K Run. Participants can enjoy activities for all ages as well as activities for their dogs, including the Fido 2K Fetch.

Interested persons can register online at www.vhslifesaver.org. You can create your own personal fundraising page with photos, and then you can share it with family and friends. Teams of walkers and runners are also encouraged.

Tickets for the Fido 2K Fetch can be purchased through the Vanderburgh Humane Society. These tickets are $10, and each one is a chance to win $500 at the event.  They will only be selling 250 tickets, and the night of the event, 250 numbered tennis balls will be placed in one the VHS dog yards. At the designated time, a VHS dog will be sent out to “fetch” a ball. The ball chosen will be the winner, and participants need not be present to win.
